You Need Professional Graphic Design In Las Vegas For Your Business

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

As more and more individuals stop working for larger companies, many newer small businesses are springing up all over the country. It is hard as a consumer to know where to take your business and what kind of companies you can trust. One thing that is vital to any business owner is good graphic design on their logos, fliers, websites, and anything that has their company name on it. A company that has a cohesive logo and a branding identity is immediately trusted more than a company that has a shoddy looking logo that looks like they created it themselves. In the city of Las Vegas it is even more important to have a unique and powerful brand image from a professional graphic designer because the city is already so garish.

Everywhere you go in Las Vegas, people are trying to catch your attention. They have huge billboards, and models, and lights designed to get you to come to their business. Before you throw your lot into the ring you should consult with a professional graphic designer.

Did you know that the color scheme your company uses should be consistent across all of its advertisements? Think of it like you think of your favorite sports teams. They all have a few different colors and a logo that immediately identify them. Different colors can even convey different images. If you only use darker blues and blacks you could turn away potential customers by being too dark for your market.

Some business owners even come up with great logo designs, but fail to think about all the implications. How will your logo translate to black and white? What happens when you put your logo in the local paper? Sure online you can have it be extremely detailed and beautiful, but could someone recognize it from a distance? Is it too intricate for a billboard? Once you being to ask these questions, it becomes immediately apparent that a professional graphic designer can take your business to a whole new level.

Just like business owners study business, graphic designers study color and lines and the effect on us. It is their expertise and they can bring a polish to it that no amateur will be able to muster. In the busy city of Las Vegas especially it is extremely important that your company stand out from the crowd. Using a professional designer is a great start for any company just beginning, or looking to expand.

Importance of Las Vegas Social Networking and Marketing

Looking for traffic for your Las Vegas website? Here is why you should choose social media marketing!

Once you have your website set up there are quite a few things that you need to consider. Among these is the idea of traffic generation. Now you can generate traffic in many different ways including article marketing, press releases, video marketing, and PPC marketing. However, one of the best ways to generate some highly targeted traffic is social media marketing.

Let me explain, social media is basically a website that allows users to connect with each other and get active. Usually they allow you to create profiles, add friends, upload videos, and post links. So in other words, they are a breeding ground for potential clients or sales. However, many business owners don’t understand the power of social media marketing.

I could sit here and tell you the importance of social media marketing all day long but I am sure that you wouldn’t be convinced if I just told you. So please allow me to illustrate my point with some simple statistics.

At the time of writing this article there are well over 1 billion registered internet users world wide. And out of that 1 billion there are a 400 million registered facebook users. Think about that, 400 million registered facebook users and it is growing fast. If even 1% of that were people who are interested in what you have to offer you would have a target market of 4 million users just on facebook. Now if you were able to reach just 1% of that 4 million you would be marketing to 40,000 unique people who are genuinely interested in what you want to offer. Don’t you think that would have a pretty high conversion rate?

And the above example only utilizes facebook statistics, image in you added in twitter and the other social media sites. Your target market would be absolutely staggering in number. Now, before you say that there is no way you’ll ever reach that many people, allow me to explain something. Social media sites are special because they promote the idea of viral marketing. This means that when you post something on facebook there is a good chance it will go viral if just one of your friends clicks the “like” button. And the truth of the matter is that every social media network has a feature like this one.

So lets recap, by using social media as a part of your marketing plan you will have access to an absolutely HUGE amount of unique visitors with a genuine interest in what you have to offer. You also have hte ability to get viral traffic and reach hundreds or even thousands of people with just one simple post. Lets be honest, you really can’t get better traffic than that. Social media marketing allows you to build your business using laser targeted traffic that converts. There is no doubt in my mind that it should be a part of every serious business owners traffic arsenal

Hey Las Vegas: What is the World Wide Web?

Friday, August 6th, 2010

The World Wide Web is like a blanket on top of the internet, yes that’s correct the web is not the internet. People always get this confused—the internet is a compilation of computer networks, and the web is a plethora of files and programs that make the internet less boring. So, now that we got that straight let’s talk about the web and what it can do for businesses.

All these nice attractive graphics and links on the web are brought to you by files and programs that were developed to make the internet less boring. Graphics User Interface (GUI) is the term used for the graphics that are on the web. The web has been around for about twenty years now, and before this the internet was nothing but characters. The internet was just a communicating machine, which electronically transmitted data. The web is a bunch of files and programs that add links to other files and programs, and the big difference is—the web added attraction to the internet. It gave the internet graphics, links, hot links, and much more. A web browser is also needed to view these files and programs, and without these web browsers, you’re basically looking at the plain internet again.

In order for a company to be very successful, there advertisement has to be pure, and doing this without the web can only be done by huge companies, due to the fact, a large amount of money is needed to suppor the advertisement program. With the web, well the game is on—there are copious small businesses out there that are making a killing, because they simply understand the web and what it can do for them. The WWW is the foundation for many small businesses—this gives them an edge over the larger companies when it comes to being more creative, and time is money when it comes to the niches on the web. Large companies have to go through a huge political evolution just to get something approved, and the down fall with this—they miss out on the niches that are short term and need to be taken advantage of right now! Small companies recognize this and use it to their advantage.

If you’re a part of a small business, and are savvy with computers, networking, and programming–there will be many opportunities to explore. Look at all the small one person businesses that turn out to be huge successes, such as; Facebook, My Space, Google, Ebay, and Yahoo. This list can go on forever, and these weren’t major corporations before they started, they were college students in college looking for a way to make a buck, and by god, they did. The innovated people that sit down and think up these ideas are people like us—just one great idea away from a success story.

As you can see, the web creates opportunities for anyone with basic knowledge, and just a little bit of computer experience and programming knowledge, you can be the next hot shot to make it rich.

A Basic Rundown on How to Make a Website for your Las Vegas Business

The first step to building a website is to select a hosting company. There are many hosting companies to choose from, so compare prices and packages to see which one meets your need. Find out what webmasters are saying about top hosting companies. The right hosting company is a great support. The wrong one could mean bad service and server issues.

Often hosting companies will include two or three domain names as part of their hosting package. Pick a domain name that clearly states the topic of your website. This technique is part of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Understanding SEO before building your website saves a lot of time. SEO is a way of setting up a website that is search engine friendly, which will ultimately bring more traffic to your site.

When building your web pages, have an idea of design first. This will save time in back tracking. You can create a web page from scratch using software like Dreamweaver, or you can create a website using Microsoft FrontPage. If you don’t want to create a website from scratch, choose a hosting company that offers web builder tools. These tools usually have templates that you can modify to your needs.

Optimize your website. Again, this is a very important step in building a website. It includes choosing the right keywords that will bring visitors to your site and placing them effectively. Keywords should be placed in HTML page tags, such as titles, descriptions, and keywords. They should be a part of content titles and subtitles, and strategically placed in content. Good SEO is a lesson in itself, so make sure you understand the concept and methods clearly so you can set your site up accordingly.

It’s time to launch. The day you launch is not the day your website appears when you Google your URL. It takes time. Search engines need to index your site. This is why SEO is important. Your keywords will be the clues the search engines will use in determining the subject of your site. Webmasters can prompt search engines to visit a site by registering the URL with them. You can register to individual search engines manually or you can submit your site to a service that will register it to all the search engines. But this sometimes requires a fee. A better option is to check your hosting company and see if they have a free submission tool that registers your website to all the search engines for free.

Now it’s time to market. This again is part of SEO. You must tell people about your site and create links back to it. Various ways of doing this is to add comments to other websites with the same topic as yours and leave a signature with your link. Write on content sites and add a link back to your site. Join forums and offer helpful information and link back to your site. Also, keep your content updated so search engines continue to visit your site to re-index it.

How to Use Facebook for Marketing and Advertising in Las Vegas

Friday, June 11th, 2010

Facebook currently has more than 400 million active users all over the world, making this social network platform an extremely useful instrument for effective marketing and advertising for your Las Vegas business. Facebook allows you to create an advertisement that will be placed on the margin of a page.

You will be able to create or increase consumer demand for your product through Facebook advertisements; you can also attach social actions to your ads and make it more relevant to the Facebook users, and you can target Las Vegas Facebook users. Facebook allows you to choose your target group, including their location and age, thus maximizing the opportunity of bringing in new customers and revenues. You can create your Facebook ads easily by creating or uploading pictures and put on text-based information that will intrigue your potential customers. You can also advertise your website by creating a Page on Facebook to draw in fans. Finally, Facebook enables you to track the progress of your marketing with real-time reporting. The simple bar charts will help you compare what gender and what age group of Facebook users pay the most attention to your ads. After you understand who are clicking on your ads, you can then modify them to maximize the efficiency in drawing in new customers.

Here are some to enhance the effectiveness of your ads on Facebook:

  1. Use an enticing and relevant photo that will attract Facebook users to click on your ad. Most Internet users are numb towards advertisements so it is extremely important for you to use the visual element to attract their attention.
  2. Write a clear and concise message. Again, most Facebook users will not spend more than 30 seconds reading an ad. Make your tag line direct and relevant to accommodate to their short attention span.
  3. Utilize other Facebook features such as Page, Application, Group, and Event. This will allow you to increase the visibility of your website and they do not cost you extra money.
  4. Narrow down your target audience. As you are relying on Facebook to connect with potential customers directly, you have to make sure that your ads pertain to their interests and offer them service or products that they may need.

Creating a Facebook advertisement is very easy. You simply have to go on to Facebook and click on the “Try Facebook Ads” on the right margin. You will then enter into a step-by-step guide that will provide you assistance along the way until you create your very first ad.

Are Directory Links Still Effective for your Website?

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

Lots of Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing Professionals are voicing their opinions and stating than directories and directory links are dead. Remember, these are the people that also say that Page Rank is dead, SEO is dead, and the latest this is dead theory.  So, is website directory link building no longer worthy for your business?

I believe the real issue with website directory links is that only some of them are good, while some others are junk, and being able to tell this difference is the key between loosing your time and having a fruitful link building campaign.  How can you tell if a directory is good enough for your website or that you should pass it?  Here are the 3 main criteria of identifying a good directory from a bad one:

  1. You can find the directory in the most popular search engines, Google, Yahoo, MSN, and Ask. Also the category pages of the directory are cached on the search engines, if the directory offers detail pages, these should be as well.
  2. Check the source code of the pages of the directory. Look to see if the links are plain a href’s, without the rel=”nofollow” attribute, and no sneaky redirects are present. By validating all these you guarantee that these links are seeing and counted by Search Engines.
  3. The directory doesn’t link to questionable websites, specially topics like gambling, casino adult, and illegal content websites. Be very wary about directory that offers sitewide likes to these type of sites.

How to Impress Your Las Vegas Customers

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

In Las Vegas business, every contact with your customer is an opportunity for expanding and growing the relationship. A phone call is nice but sending a business greeting card means that effort and consideration was put into the relationship. A greeting card can be sent as a reminder for an event, upcoming meeting or simply a thank you note. With the highly competitive market that we have today, having a good rapport with your customers is a way of getting ahead of the competition.

There are a lot of reasons why businesses send greeting cards. You may want to attract new customers, enhance a current business relationship or show appreciation to those who have faithfully supported your business during the year. It is essential though to carefully design the card as a well-meant card can actually offend the recipient when it is not done properly. Choosing a poor design can also mean a lot of things to the people you want to impress. The recipient can take it as a sign that the business is not doing well or that they are not properly given the attention that they deserve.

To avoid any trouble in getting the list of the persons that you would send the card to, update your list of names and addresses from time to time.  For certain, you would gain new clients throughout the year. As you gain new contacts take time to add them in your list. This way you wonít have a hard time addressing your greeting card or embarrass yourself by sending the card to the wrong person.

It is also better to sign each card personally and handwrite the address as well. This may sound a lot work for you but if the business and the relationship are worth it, so is the extra effort. Remember that this is your chance to connect with your customers on a personal level so make it work. As much as possible donít also use computer generated labels as they may seem impersonal and make your greeting look like a mass mailing.

If you are sending the card in time for a special occasion or holiday, make sure to mail them ahead of time to make sure that they arrive on the dot. And the best way to avoid the last minute greeting rush is to have all your envelopes addressed a few days before actually sending them out. You can have all the time in the world for designing, decorating and signing your greeting cards so make an effort to create them as stunning and pleasing as possible to make the recipients feel that they are well valued and appreciated.

How to Keep Las Vegas Brochure Printing Costs Low

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

Promoting your Las Vegas company’s products and services can be done by radio advertising, television advertising or have it printed into a brochure (much cheaper of course). However not all businesses can afford to advertise on television and radio, so printed marketing materials, especially a strong brochure, becomes the next best thing.

Brochures are simple overviews of your business and can be easily handed out, mailed, etc. A well-written and designed brochure can grab a potential customer’s attention. You can make them even more polished and professional if you choose special papers, unique sizes, special paper coatings and such, however, this will add to your printing costs.

Here are some ways to keep your Las Vegas brochure printing costs low:

  1. Talk to a printer before you begin. Get quotes from high-end printing companies, online printing companies and even Kinko’s. Know what your options are and how much each option will cost.
  2. Know your audience and HOW to distribute your brochures to potential leads. For example, leaving them on windshields in a parking lot may not be the most effect way of advertising; and you would be wasting brochures you paid to have printed.
  3. If you are going to be printing huge quantities of your brochure (in the thousands) that you should try to find a bluk or wholesale printer to keep costs down.
  4. Don’t include info that might change in the near future. For example, if you’re planning on moving your business six month from now, but you’re printing brochures you plan to use for the next year, you might consider leaving your address off.

A Simple Las Vegas Web Promotion Tool with Big Rewards

Sunday, April 18th, 2010

If you operate or own a web site in Las Vegas, then you know that you have to promote both on and off the internet.  You have to incorporate both factors  to be successful with an eCommerce Las Vegas business.  I have talked several large Internet retailers and they gave me a helpful insight into their internet marketing programs.  Made perfect sense, so I thought I’d pass it along to our client.

We all know that eBay is the #1 auction market place on the internet today, correct?  Millions of dollars are spent every week on their website promotions on the internet and it continues to grow every day. I’m not going to tell you to open up a store and start selling your entire product line to Ebay buyers… that would be costly with too little profit.

What I will say is to put a few of your company’s top sellers in an auction, either fixed or auction type.  This will help you attract viewers because your product is hot and people will want to purchase it.  The key to this tactic is to place links on your auction site that direct viewers to your main corporate site which carries your entire product line.  If you do it correctly, your traffic could explode with all targeted customers.  You might not be making a ton of money with eBay items that you sell, but if you do it right the profit you make from these targeted customers will far outweigh small profit margins.  Just give it a try because there’s nothing to lose and you just might be happy with your results!
