About Floor Restore

Floor Restore LLC is a company that was created to provide a quality Franchise program at a price most can afford. We are a family business interested in assisting people to get back to work in these trying times. We started our business months before the construction crash in Las Vegas. Due to the downturn, we were forced to make some hard decisions. Either close the doors and waste our hard work or find a way to capture a consistent market. We discovered a model for business that caused us to grow consistently through the downturn and become the 2nd largest Flooring contractor in the Vegas Valley within one year.

Las Vegas Web Design Checklist

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

When preparing to build a website, there are specific aspects which you need to have prepared for the construction of your site before actually beginning the scripting or site building process. This article will help you prepare for everything you need to begin creating a successful internet website.

Some of the general things which you should prepare before constructing a website and why are as the following;

Website Logos And Banners – If you are running a business or a website, you want to have a logo or banner for your website which gives viewers a general idea of the name of your website along with possibly a small quote of what your service offers. A logo may also be a trademark which identifies your website or business from others, this way when someone thinks of the service they will remember your logo thus go to your website.

Have A Color Scheme In Mind Use This Scheme In All Content And Images – When planning a website you want to previously decide color schemes of your website before building it. This way when you make images, content, and banners you will know how to design your text and images to match your website scheme.

Consider Stock Photography – When using images on your website you want to make sure that anything you are planning to use you have proper rights to be posting or altering. There are many websites online which offer stock images for small amounts such as 1$ a piece. Just be careful where you look for your photography to be sure that the copy rights are not false.

Previously Written Content And Business Information – If you know exactly what your website will be about consider writing content for your site before actually building your site this way your site will be ready to publish to the public right away. Some examples of things you should have pre-written before making a website are business introductions, terms and conditions, a few educational articles in relation to your business, what your business cannot offer, along with customer privacy policies.

Las Vegas Catalog Design - 8 Tips and Tricks

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

If you’re preparing to design a catalog for your company here in Las Vegas, sometimes approaching the task can seem overwhelming at times, however, we here at Perkolate have taken time to put a list of catalog design tips and tricks that will help you plan and think about your new catalog design.

  1. Plan out what information you’re trying to convey with the catalog and write everything out into a Word document so you can go back and edit.
  2. Try to imagine how many pages your catalog will be (more pages will be more expensive for both the design and printing) and specify in the content you’re writing what will roughly go on each page.
  3. Write for your target audience, at their level and tell them how your products and services will help make their jobs easier and help them to be more successful business people and companies.
  4. Assemble any master graphics and photos including logos, product shots, examples of your work, staff photos, building shots, etc.
  5. Set a timeline to do your due diligence before contacting a professional design company (like Perkolate) and think about what a realistic schedule is that you want the printed catalog completed.
  6. Don’t have too much text on the pages, make sure you leave enough room for exciting and dynamic graphical images.
  7. Cross sell any other marketing materials you have as well including your website.
  8. Make sure the new design matches your current marketing materials (website, brochures, business cards, etc.) to help reenforce your company’s branding and identity efforts.

Las Vegas Business Card Design - What You Need to Know

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

A professional business card design for your Las Vegas business or company is truly THE most critical element to starting your new business. It is for the most part your first impression, your tone, your voice and your level of professionalism, not to mention the single piece of marketing materials you may hand to a potential client that holds all of your most important contact information.

Business cards designed quickly yourself or by a quickie print shop simply will not do. You need to take a few minutes to think, to strategize over the look and feel of your business card and the information you put on your business card.

What should you consider when having your business card designed:

  • Order a generous quantity - you never want to run out.  Keep them everywhere, in your office, at home, in your car, in your wallet, in your brief case.
  • Include all relevant information - Your company name, your company address, all telephone numbers, fax number, your website address, your title, a tagline and a professionally designed logo.
  • Choose a design and colors that speak to your target market - don’t choose colors just because you like them, make sure the colors and the design speak to your potential client.
  • Use a fairly heavy stock and have them printed by a printer - don’t run cards off on your printer at home, have them printed and on a fairly thick stock of paper. As a new company, you need credibility.
  • Use the back of the card - you can put additional information or sales copy on the back of your card, or simply place your logo there.  Looks much higher end than a one-sided card.
  • Leave space on front or back - for clients to write notes, leave some whitespace on the front or back of your card and don’t use all high gloss, as your client won’t be able to write notes if the coating on the cards is too glossy.

Top 10 Things You Must Include in Your Las Vegas Website

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Designing a website can sometimes seem like an overwhelming task. Choosing an experience Las Vegas Website Design company like Perkolate can eliminate much of the confusion. There are specific factors, however, you need to be aware of as a Las Vegas business owner, that you should include in your website when planning it out, even before you have a professional design it.

Top 10 Things You Must Include in Your Las Vegas Website:

  • Simplicity - this is key.  Keep the page structure as simple and easy to understand and navigate as possible. People don’t like to get confused or lost on a website. They don’t like to read too much copy on the pages as well.
  • Consistent Logo - seems like it would be obvious but some people put a text styling to their company name on their website, while their business cards have another. Logos help build your brand and have equity in them when used across all of your marketing materials.
  • Well Written Copy - Think about what you are writing for your website pages, keep it simple and include bullet points. Keep about 200 words or more on the main pages (google likes this). Write your copy from a potential customer’s perspective and tell them not only what you offer, but WHY they need to choose your company or business and how it will help them solve problems.
  • Complete Contact Information - You should include all methods of contacting you, including telephone, fax, physical address, email and a form on your website if possible. Different people prefer different ways of contacting you, so give all the options available.
  • Up-To-Date Information - Nobody wants to visit your website if it’s out of date, so when planning, think of ways to keep the information fresh and updated, including the copyright year in your footer. Search engines like this, too!
  • About Us Page - Visitors will read it. Write a few paragraphs as to the company’s experience, how long it has served the Las Vegas community and what makes your company stand out.
  • Management Information - Visitors will often review the management information of the company, even if it is a small company. Post your employees experience, education and credentials.
  • Tailor Your Website Design for Your Audience - Make sure the design speaks to your target market and customer.
  • Complete Information on Products & Services - Complete product and services information can also save a lot of phone calls and inquiries.
  • Samples of Work/Portfolio - Find some way of illustrating the products and services you offer and provide samples, list customers, add testimonials.
