Promoting your Las Vegas company’s products and services can be done by radio advertising, television advertising or have it printed into a brochure (much cheaper of course). However not all businesses can afford to advertise on television and radio, so printed marketing materials, especially a strong brochure, becomes the next best thing.
Brochures are simple overviews of your business and can be easily handed out, mailed, etc. A well-written and designed brochure can grab a potential customer’s attention. You can make them even more polished and professional if you choose special papers, unique sizes, special paper coatings and such, however, this will add to your printing costs.
Here are some ways to keep your Las Vegas brochure printing costs low:
- Talk to a printer before you begin. Get quotes from high-end printing companies, online printing companies and even Kinko’s. Know what your options are and how much each option will cost.
- Know your audience and HOW to distribute your brochures to potential leads. For example, leaving them on windshields in a parking lot may not be the most effect way of advertising; and you would be wasting brochures you paid to have printed.
- If you are going to be printing huge quantities of your brochure (in the thousands) that you should try to find a bluk or wholesale printer to keep costs down.
- Don’t include info that might change in the near future. For example, if you’re planning on moving your business six month from now, but you’re printing brochures you plan to use for the next year, you might consider leaving your address off.

Choose the Right Template and Look and Feel to your Presentation
When it comes to designing an effective PowerPoint presentation for your Las Vegas business or sales force, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, you should make sure that the presentation is eye-catching, but not distracting. This can be accomplished by choosing a slide design, that suits the type of presentation that you are working on. If your business has it’s own branding in place, you will want to make sure that the look and feel matches your current branding and existing marketing materials. There are many schemes that work perfectly for different types of presentations. Many of them pair very well with specific topics, and you can easily make your presentation unique by exploring these options.
Choose Animation Effects Carefully
Next, we come to animations and transitions. These can be very fun additions to your presentation, but you should be careful not to overindulge. Again, since the presentation should not overpower the information itself, the best bet is to select one or two effects, and use them consistently throughout the entire presentation. For most topics, a simple fade or dissolve effect is a great choice. This goes for slide transitions, the effect that takes place when one slide changes to the next, as well as the text or graphics in the slides themselves.
Content is Key - Keep It Simple
As for the information within the presentation itself, the best advice is: keep it simple. Most of the text boxes in the slides are pre-designed as bulleted lists because the information should be presented with concise statements. For the most part, the presentation will be accompanied by a speaker who is further explaining the information. The audience will not want to switch back and forth between listening to the speaker and reading lengthy paragraphs of information on each slide. Also, adding appropriate graphics to break up the monotony of a text-only presentation is perfectly acceptable, but again, in moderation. Remember not to overload your slides with text and graphics should you decide to use clip art, photos, or charts. Charts, tables, or graphs typically warrant their own slides, as they should be large enough for the audience to be able to read them.
Audio & Video
The timing of the slide show itself can be rehearsed (practice makes perfect!) to make sure that the information is displayed at the right pace and that you know exactly what you are speaking about. If a speaker is presenting the information, the slides can be changed manually. Soundtracks, audio and video can also be added to standalone presentations, are actually quite effective at drawing in the appropriate audience.
PowerPoint gives you the ability to make your presentation your own, and as long as you keep your audience in mind, you can effectively communicate your message.

If you’re preparing to design a catalog for your company here in Las Vegas, sometimes approaching the task can seem overwhelming at times, however, we here at Perkolate have taken time to put a list of catalog design tips and tricks that will help you plan and think about your new catalog design.
- Plan out what information you’re trying to convey with the catalog and write everything out into a Word document so you can go back and edit.
- Try to imagine how many pages your catalog will be (more pages will be more expensive for both the design and printing) and specify in the content you’re writing what will roughly go on each page.
- Write for your target audience, at their level and tell them how your products and services will help make their jobs easier and help them to be more successful business people and companies.
- Assemble any master graphics and photos including logos, product shots, examples of your work, staff photos, building shots, etc.
- Set a timeline to do your due diligence before contacting a professional design company (like Perkolate) and think about what a realistic schedule is that you want the printed catalog completed.
- Don’t have too much text on the pages, make sure you leave enough room for exciting and dynamic graphical images.
- Cross sell any other marketing materials you have as well including your website.
- Make sure the new design matches your current marketing materials (website, brochures, business cards, etc.) to help reenforce your company’s branding and identity efforts.

A professional business card design for your Las Vegas business or company is truly THE most critical element to starting your new business. It is for the most part your first impression, your tone, your voice and your level of professionalism, not to mention the single piece of marketing materials you may hand to a potential client that holds all of your most important contact information.
Business cards designed quickly yourself or by a quickie print shop simply will not do. You need to take a few minutes to think, to strategize over the look and feel of your business card and the information you put on your business card.
What should you consider when having your business card designed:
- Order a generous quantity - you never want to run out. Keep them everywhere, in your office, at home, in your car, in your wallet, in your brief case.
- Include all relevant information - Your company name, your company address, all telephone numbers, fax number, your website address, your title, a tagline and a professionally designed logo.
- Choose a design and colors that speak to your target market - don’t choose colors just because you like them, make sure the colors and the design speak to your potential client.
- Use a fairly heavy stock and have them printed by a printer - don’t run cards off on your printer at home, have them printed and on a fairly thick stock of paper. As a new company, you need credibility.
- Use the back of the card - you can put additional information or sales copy on the back of your card, or simply place your logo there. Looks much higher end than a one-sided card.
- Leave space on front or back - for clients to write notes, leave some whitespace on the front or back of your card and don’t use all high gloss, as your client won’t be able to write notes if the coating on the cards is too glossy.

Designing a website can sometimes seem like an overwhelming task. Choosing an experience Las Vegas Website Design company like Perkolate can eliminate much of the confusion. There are specific factors, however, you need to be aware of as a Las Vegas business owner, that you should include in your website when planning it out, even before you have a professional design it.
Top 10 Things You Must Include in Your Las Vegas Website:
- Simplicity - this is key. Keep the page structure as simple and easy to understand and navigate as possible. People don’t like to get confused or lost on a website. They don’t like to read too much copy on the pages as well.
- Consistent Logo - seems like it would be obvious but some people put a text styling to their company name on their website, while their business cards have another. Logos help build your brand and have equity in them when used across all of your marketing materials.
- Well Written Copy - Think about what you are writing for your website pages, keep it simple and include bullet points. Keep about 200 words or more on the main pages (google likes this). Write your copy from a potential customer’s perspective and tell them not only what you offer, but WHY they need to choose your company or business and how it will help them solve problems.
- Complete Contact Information - You should include all methods of contacting you, including telephone, fax, physical address, email and a form on your website if possible. Different people prefer different ways of contacting you, so give all the options available.
- Up-To-Date Information - Nobody wants to visit your website if it’s out of date, so when planning, think of ways to keep the information fresh and updated, including the copyright year in your footer. Search engines like this, too!
- About Us Page - Visitors will read it. Write a few paragraphs as to the company’s experience, how long it has served the Las Vegas community and what makes your company stand out.
- Management Information - Visitors will often review the management information of the company, even if it is a small company. Post your employees experience, education and credentials.
- Tailor Your Website Design for Your Audience - Make sure the design speaks to your target market and customer.
- Complete Information on Products & Services - Complete product and services information can also save a lot of phone calls and inquiries.
- Samples of Work/Portfolio - Find some way of illustrating the products and services you offer and provide samples, list customers, add testimonials.

Presenting your Las Vegas business, products and services while speaking with a supporting Powerpoint presentation is an effective way to keep your speech on track, have a visual representation to what you are speaking about and a valuable leave-behind.
The Content of Your Powerpoint Slide Presentation
You should carefully outline everything about your company and its products and services, or as we like to say, the who, what, where, when, WHY, and how. You should write your Powerpoint slide show to speak to the benefits for a potential company to hire you. Your powerpoint should be merely an outline or guide to what you are speaking about. So many companies make the mistake of cramming way too much information into their Powerpoint presentations.
The Design of Your Powerpoint Slide Presentation
The design of your Powerpoint presentation is equally as important as the content. It should be professional looking, filled with images when appropriate and should look slick and polished. It should also match all of your other corporate marketing materials, including your business cards, website, stationary, brochures, folders, collateral, etc. Consistency in your materials is extremely important and is key to making your Las Vegas company or business appear professional and polished.
If you need any assistance with your Powerpoint presentation - both the content writing and the design - be sure to contact Perkolate for Las Vegas Powerpoint design solutions.

If you’re a new company or established business here in Las Vegas, there is always room to evaluate if you have the proper marketing materials to promote and marketing your products and services. We’ve compiled a list in order of importance as to the Top 10 marketing materials and marketing collateral you should have to help sell your company’s products and services.
Top 10 Marketing Materials You Should Have:
- A Professional Logo - having a memorable and professional logo is essential. A logo describes your entire business, your level of professionalism and your tone all with one icon.
- Business Cards - seems like a no-brainer, but it is very important to have a professionally designed business card. Having a slick business card helps lend credibility to your business and can help you stand out from your competition.
- Website - what is one of the first things people look at when reviewing your business card - yep, a website. People will look your website up as well, so don’t have a “coming soon” page up if your website address is on your business cards, have at least a brochure-style website live.
- A Professional Email Address - Las Vegas is notorious for business owners and companies that have business cards with their own website, yet still use a cox, aol, or yahoo email address. This looks really unprofessional and hurts your credibility. Perkolate can help you set up your email accounts through your website.
- Stationery - should match your business card. This gives your communication materials a consistent look and feel and makes your business or company (and you) look professional.
- Envelopes/Labels - should match your stationery and business card and should also be designed professionally.
- Brochure or Flyer - depending on what your company offers, you should have some sort of marketing print piece, like a brochure or one-page flyer, that describes your products and services, tells people why your company stands out, and has a clear call-to-action.
- Use a Local Las Vegas Telephone Number - sure, Las Vegas is a “transient” town, but trying to do business with people in town that have any area code other than 702 (when they are based in Las Vegas) is very eyebrow-raising. If you’re doing business in town, get a 702 number!
- Template Copy Written About Your Company - take the time to write out a 100, 50 and 25-word description about your company. This will come in handy down the line and really make you think about what it is your company does and what it sells. You should also write a bio on your self and the key people in your company as well.
- Email Newsletters - this one is very costeffective. Put all of those emails in your address book to good use. We can design email newsletters for you and set it up with a third-party service so that you can send them out yourself. Timely and easy to do yourself!
All of these items are all so very important to your business, especially in this competitive economy, and we always say, if you don’t make sure you have at least the basics listed above, believe me, your competitors already do.
